In 1883, a man with a vision, G. A. Krause founded a company that would later become known as Wolverine World Wide, and by 1903 Krause and his sons were producing 300 pairs of shoes each day. Krause and sons built the Wolverine tannery in 1905 and began to supply tough, durable horsehide to their shoe factory.
